Police are searching for a 42-year-old man who has not returned from walking the challenging Mourne Mountains' Seven Sevens. Jonathan Broome was last seen around 7.30pm yesterday evening as he attempted the 18-mile, 8,100ft test of endurance and mountain skills, and police are concerned for his wellbeing and safety.
He was believed to be wearing a black waterproof Berghaus coat and dark trousers. He also had brown walking shoes. Newry, Mourne and Down Police is asking anyone who has any information that could help officers to locate the missing man to telephone 101 and quote reference 2007 25.09.2022.
