Police and trading standards seized 600 dodgy vapes, including some found hidden in the toilet
A newsagents above a Metrolink station has been closed down after police seized hundreds of illegal vapes. Immy's at Sale tram stop was raided by police and trading standards yesterday following numerous complaints staff were selling dodgy vapes to children.
Officers uncovered illegal 600 vapes, including some found hidden in a toilet. Following the raid magistrates have today issued a three month closure order. A sign on the door reads: "These premises have been issued with a closure order to prevent crime, nuisance or disorder.
"Community safety officers issued a closure notice to the business and today, the magistrates' court heard an application for a full closure order. It has been closed for three months and any unauthorised person found on the premises is liable to be arrested. "Illegal vapes are particularly harmful and vapes should under no circumstances be sold to children. We will work with partners to shut down retailers who flout the law and put our communities and young people at risk."
