A man has died following a mass disturbance in a South Lanarkshire street. Officers were called to Farmeloan Road in Rutherglen at around 7pm on Tuesday. A 38-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police Scotland said the death is being treated as 'suspicious' and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances. The force said a 39-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with possessing an offensive weapon.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday.
