Emergency services were called to Greendykes Road, at the Craigmillar Castle Avenue side, at around 10.15am on Thursday, November 2 following a disturbance. Two police vans have been spotted as a cordon has been erected around a row of houses on the quiet street.
A source informed Edinburgh Live that there was an incident involving a firearm at an address on the road as the scene remains locked down five hours later.
