The lone occupant of the vehicle jumped out of the vehicle and led officers on a foot chase through the parking lot of The Village shopping center.
A stolen vehicle pursuit from Sausalito to Corte Madera on Tuesday morning ended with a fiery car crash and the arrest of one suspect.
The pursuit began at 8:47 a.m. when an officer identified a stolen 2007 GMC Sierra on Spencer Avenue frontage road. About eight minutes earlier, police received an alert from the city’s license plate recognition cameras that the stolen vehicle was spotted on the 300 block of Spencer Avenue.The officer attempted to make an enforcement stop, but the vehicle fled onto northbound Highway 101. The officer pursued the vehicle and a Marin County sheriff’s deputy joined in the pursuit.
