A 42-year-old man has been arrested following the incident
A police officer has been rushed to hospital following an incident that took place on Kilmarnock Road earlier today.
Multiple marked cars and a helicopter scrambled to the Shawlands street after police received reports of an indivdual causing a disturbance at around 1pm. Two cops, were injured during the encounter, with a male officer taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to receive treatment.A 42-year-old man has been apprehended following the incident.A Police Scotland spokesperson said : “We were made aware of a man causing a disturbance at 1pm on Thursday, 5 January 2023, at Kilmarnock Road in Glasgow."The male officer was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
