Police are looking into new claims made about Bible John murders.

Police have said they are “assessing” claims made in a podcast discussing the Bible John murders in Glasgow.

Patricia's body was found on February 22, 1968, after a night of dancing at the Barrowlands and eighteen months later, mother-of-three Jemima was found.Helen was found in the back gardens of her tenement home in Scotstoun by a man out walking his dog on October 31, 1969. Jeannie was dropped off home first, while Helen made the onward journey with the man - and it was the last time she saw her sister.The murders became a media sensation, with the suspect being named only as Bible John, owing to his quoting of scripture during that taxi journey.

The podcast claimed the involvement of the man in the taxi was covered up because he was the cousin of a senior police officer.
