A bicyclist was seriously injured Friday morning in a collision with a vehicle at Gambell and Fifth near downtown Anchorage
Anchorage police say they are looking for a white sedan involved in a collision that left a bicyclist seriously injured on Friday morning.
Officers were called to the intersection of Gambell Street and Fifth Avenue at 6 a.m. for a report of a collision between a vehicle and a man on a bicycle, policeThe driver of the sedan was southbound on Gambell and had a green light when the collision occurred, according to an update Friday afternoon. The bicyclist was riding west on Fifth Avenue when the rider crossed the intersection “during a time when the ‘Do Not Cross’ pedestrian signal was displayed,” the update said.
Police are asking for the public’s help to locate the sedan, which they said may have damage to the front end, hood or windshield.This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
