NatWest bosses have also issued a warning after Action Fraud received 1,478 reports in two weeks relating to fake emails
The major retail and commercial bank has also reiterated the advice and told customers what they need to do after a scam email asking victims to update their bank account details. Police said the "emails are FAKE" and the link leads to malicious websites which are "designed to steal your personal and financial information".

If you have doubts about a message, contact the organisation directly.On its website, NatWest told its customers: "NatWest will NEVER ask for your full PIN or Password when identifying you on the phone or online, and will NEVER ask for Card Reader codes on the phone or when logging in.
