Palo Alto police are investigating a string of home burglaries that have taken place around dinnertime and authorities believe at least several of the incidents are connected. The burglars are taking jewelry and safes from unoccupied homes. No arrests have been made so far.
Since October, 11 homes in the city have been broken into between the hours of roughly 7 to 9 p.m., with backyard windows being smashed in. Police said they believe two to four individuals are responsible for the incidents and surveillance footage obtained from some of the homes show young men in hooded sweatshirts, wearing face coverings and gloves.Oct. 9: 4200 block Manuela Drive.
