Police in Southlake shot a man after a fatal shooting in North Richland Hills
Police in Southlake shot a man who authorities said pointed a gun at the officers Monday afternoon and is believed to be involved in a fatal shooting in North Richland Hills earlier in the day.
People who saw the incident told police that someone drove away from the area in a gray or silver sedan. Shortly after 4:30 p.m. Monday, the Southlake Department of Public Safety tweeted there was an officer-involved shooting near the intersection of the eastbound service road of State Highway 114 and Carroll Avenue near a Chuy’s restaurant.
Southlake Police Chief James Brandon said during a news conference that police shot the person of interest during a traffic stop after he got out of his vehicle and pointed a gun at officers.
