The attacks took place in Peebles, in the Scottish Borders, yesterday evening.
Police are hunting two teenage thugs who attacked three men in a Scots town. The youngsters, thought to be aged around 15 or 16, attacked the men in Peebles on Friday, March 15.
The 40-year-old man was taken to the same hospital and is being treated for lacerations. Police say the attack on him is being treated as a serious assault. Police Scotland posted on Facebook in a bid to try and catch the yobs. A post on the Police Scotland Scottish Borders page said "they were both wearing grey tracksuits and black jackets".
"I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact us through 101 quoting incident number 3105 of 15 March."
