A 66-year-old man was arrested following the incident in St Ann's
Up to 100 wraps of suspected Class A drugs and a knife were found when police stopped a car in St Ann's. Nottinghamshire Police says officers from the city knife crime team were on patrol in Plantagenet Street when the incident occurred on Wednesday .
The officers had spotted a vehicle known to them at around 9.50am. The car then crashed into a stationary vehicle as officers approached.The wraps of suspected heroin and cocaine were then discovered inside the vehicle as officers searched it, as well as a knife, mobile phones and cash. A 66-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of a knife in a public place.
A police investigation into the incident remains ongoing and anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 23000632059. Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555111.
