Police were called to a protest outside a restaurant in Prestwich last night as Katie Hopkins made an appearance.

Confirming the news of Hopkins' appearance online before the event, the diner said: "A bit like our Karen's, she's divisive, opinionated, brash and offensive...all of the qualities we admire.
In 2017, she was ordered to pay writer and campaigner Jack Monroe thousands in damages after she lost a libel case over a tweet she posted in 2015. She had more than one million Twitter followers before her permanent suspension in 2020.
