A slew of shootings across San Antonio over the weekend left three dead and five others in critical condition — and some of those attacks may have been related, Police Chief William McManus said Monday.and three others — including a 5-year-old boy and a 60-year-old woman — were critically injured in a drive-by shooting in the 5100 block of Eisenhauer Road on the Northeast Side. That shooting stemmed from an argument a couple weeks earlier at Roosevelt High School, McManus said.
“We believe at this moment that a couple of these shootings may have some nexus," McManus said Monday."There may be some relationship between them. However, it remains, we believe, a fact that these are all targeted events. Each of these events was targeted and not random.” The shooting at North Star Mall sparked concerns about a potential active shooter, but police canvassed the mall and determined those reports to be false.
