Man's Death in NYC Police Lockup Under InvestigationNew York City police are investigating the death of a 38-year-old man who was found unresponsive in a police precinct jail cell in Manhattan. Police officials say the man was found unconscious Saturday afternoon in the Midtown South precinct lockup on West 35th Street. The police department says officers called in paramedics and gave the man medical aid. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Officials say the man was being detained in an alleged domestic violence case. Police and the medical examiner are investigating his death.
