Officers and paramedics were called to the scene shortly after 1pm
Police blocked off a road in Openshaw on Wednesday afternoon after a collision between two cars that saw a damaged bumper ripped off.
Pictures taken from the scene show a number of police vehicles in attendance with the bumper from one of the vehicles completely torn off and left on the pavement.No arrests have been made in relation to the incident and the nature of injuries sustained have not been confirmed, but the North West Ambulance Service have been approached for more details.
