Sunak tells MPs that SNP gender recognition bill would have 'adverse effect on UK-wide equalities matters' - latest
Rishi Sunak will face Sir Keir Starmer and other MPs this afternoon at Prime Minister's Questions following the release of new inflation rates.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister will likely be questioned about how he plans to tackle the newest wave of strikes causing disruptions across the country. It comes as thousands of nurses go on strike over a pay dispute with many more workers from different industries, such as ambulance workers, teachers, and railway workers, planning to strike over the coming months.
Lib Dem MP for Chesham and Amersham, Sarah Green, said many of her constituents are being "punished" by being forced to switch to pre-payment meters when they can't meet their energy bill costs. She asked if the PM will ban energy companies from switching smart meters to pre-payment meters, which are more expensive for customers.
