Randolph Hill Nursing Home is hoping to supplement its existing offering in Dunblane with a new 20-bed luxury care home.
The group has lodged an application with Stirling Council planners for land at their Perth Road site which they say will also create 30 full time equivalent new jobs in the community.
“Both floors will offer residents semi-outdoor space in the form of winter gardens and an outdoor terrace space on both floors which will offer views and light for the residents. Randolph Hill Nursing Homes Group originally purchased the site from the previous owners of Dunblane Hydro Hotel, The Stakis Group, in 2005. The current nursing home replaced the original Randolph Hill Nursing Home which had been housed in a converted and extended Edwardian villa on Leewood Road in Dunblane.Consent was granted for a 20-bedroom extension to the existing home in 2011 then again in 2014 but has since lapsed.
“Randolph Hill already enjoys a very good reputation and exceptional occupancy rates with no ability to offer any variation in accommodation size, quality or price. This new building extends the amount of accommodation that they can provide and addresses the lack of variety by proposing top-of-the-market resident accommodation, more generous communal spaces and common rooms and specific visitor meeting facilities on each floor in the event of any future outbreaks of transmittable diseases.
