According to plans, a residential and commercial development is set to take place in Clyde Gateway, including 450 residential units, a hotel, and commercial space. The development will also involve the transformation of a grass area into a park and the use of the former Clyde FC home ground as a car parking facility. The project is part of the Clyde Gateway initiative, benefiting the local areas of Bridgeton, Dalmarnock, Oatlands, Toryglen, and Rutherglen.

According to plans, the site would consist of 450 residential units, a hotel with 150 bedrooms and significant commercial space. The grass area in the middle, which was used as a football pitch, then for greyhound racing until 2020, would become a park.The ground beneath the former Clyde FC home ground would be used as a car parking facility.The development would be part of the Clyde Gateway project, which covers the areas of Bridgeton , Dalmarnock , Oatlands , Toryglen and Rutherglen .
