The proposals for 36 homes in Bonkle, near Newmains received the go ahead from North Lanarkshire Council planning department.

“The existing site is grass and scrub which appears to have grown up since the former equestrian facility was demolished.”Concerns expressed by the objectors included increased traffic on Bonkle Road; junction visibility and speed of traffic on Bonkle Road; construction traffic, noise and disturbance; access and parking rights; loss of privacy and the loss of woodland and environmental damage.
