Emergency servcies are the scene as police close down a major road by the airport.
Police have closed down the A719 at the B739, Monkton, with emergency services reportedly at the scene, including fire and air ambulance.
Officers say the plane is a small aircraft. It is unknown what the condition is of the two people on board. People have been warned to avoid the area. A statement on Police Scotland Ayrshire said: "The A719 is closed at the B739, Monkton, due to a report of a small aircraft crash with two people onboard. Emergency services are at the scene.
