Two young children found Perseverance Ncube, 35, with a single stab wound to the chest at a home in Salford, Greater Manchester, on Friday morning.

A 45-year-old man - who is believed to be known to the victim - fled the scene but has since been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. The woman, who was found with a single-stab injury in her chest, was rushed to hospital where she since passed away 'Percy had just celebrated her 35th birthday in October, and her passing has left us with an immeasurable sense of loss.One person wrote in a heartfelt tribute on Facebook: 'I knew this woman personally, she had the most amazing soul.'
Ms Ncube was initially assaulted at her home on Dukesgate Grove with her children inside before the fatal attack continued on the street, the Manchester Evening News reports. Ms Ncube's neighbours said that she was 'nice' and 'kept to herself'. They also hailed her as 'a very lovely lady', as well as 'calm' and 'kind'.
