Peter Beard, a famed American artist and photographer who went missing nearly three weeks ago, has been confirmed dead. He was 82.
, his family shared the news, saying they will"miss him every day."
In Sunday's statement, the family described Beard as"an extraordinary man who led an exceptional life."
