The catch? Snell had a rough go of it in both of his regular-season starts against the Phillies. He allowed three runs in 3⅔ innings in a 3-0 Padres loss on May 18, and then allowed four runs in 5⅔ innings in a 4-2 loss on June 25. He also struggled in his wild-card start, walking six of the 19 batters he faced and allowing a home run in 3⅓ innings of a 7-3 loss to the Mets.
