The Belgian was left fuming by the challenge made by Hibs man Moriah Welsh on Gers midfielder John Lundstram
The Ibrox gaffer reckons midfield ace John Lundstram was lucky to avoid serious injury after being caught by Hibs’ Nathan Moriah-Welsh’s “reckless” lunge at Easter Road. Referee Steven McLean was quick to take firm action as he immediately flashed red at the Guyana international just two minutes after the hosts had also seen Jordan Obita dismissed for a second yellow.
“I think it is not good for Scottish football, English football, Belgian football, German football, tackles like that. Players need to know if you tackle like that you get a red card. It is for nobody good because it is a danger to injure someone if you go in like that. “Now this is almost out of the game because everybody knows if I do it I risk a red card. I think it benefits every player, every manager and every club that these things go out of football.”
“I want to stay with 11, I don’t want reckless tackles, I want them to stay on their feet. It is important to play and finish games with 11.”
