Drivers who park on the pavement in Perth and Kinross are set to be hit with a £100 fine from November.
Local authorities in Scotland have been able to enforce the law since December 11, 2023. Drivers caught parking on pavements can be fined £100, reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days. “At the moment, if vehicles were to move off the footway into the carriageway they would effectively be blocking the road.
In some narrow streets, yellow lines may have to be painted to stop drivers parking there but this might not always be possible.
