One person is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in south Columbus on Saturday evening
Authorities said the person was crossing Parsons Avenue at the Frebis avenue intersection around 7:20 p.m. Saturday when a car turned left into the intersection from Frebis avenue, hitting the pedestrian in the crosswalk.The pedestrian was taken to Grant Medical Center with serious injuries, but is expected to survive.
The vehicle drove away from the scene. While it has not been identified, preliminary reports described it as dark-colored sedan. Anyone with information is asked to call Columbus police at 614 645-4767, or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614 461-8477.
