Council officers are recommending the development in Linlithgow is approved
Planning permission could be granted for a new 60-bed care home and 18 flats with associated access, car parking and landscaping on land at Edinburgh Road, Linlithgow next week.
Council officers are recommending to the Development Management Committee to grant planning permission subject to conditions.The council planning report concludes that locating a nursing home and flats within a predominately residential area and within 400m of local shops, the railway station and on a bus route makes for an appropriate and sustainable location for a use of this type of development.
There is a shortfall of care home bed spaces in the area and this development will help to address that in part. Huge Blaze at Scots Swimming Pool in West LothianA huge blaze has broken out at a Scots swimming pool in West Lothian.
