Participants' siblings within the same age range are also able to attend the camp free of charge to their families. “The beauty of providing a week of 'yes' is if the patients do have to go back to the hospital and receive treatment, they take it on with a lot more confidence. And we call that the periwinkle effect,” Massey said.
