The viral video shows a police officer spraying a crowd in an altercation that took place in Leeds over the weekend
Shocking scenes unfolded in a Leeds street as police officers and residents clashed with PAVA 'pepper spray' appearing to be used by an officer.
When they got there, it appears they were met with a mob of residents who can be heard hurling abuse at officers and each other.One police officer can be seen screaming "get back now" while spraying what appears to be PAVA spray at members of the riled up crowd.The man filming the chaotic scenes can be heard saying: "The f*** you doing you little muppet?".
It is reported that three officers received minor injuries in the melee and two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of offences including assaulting police officers.A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "We are aware of footage circulating on social media around some disorder on Third Avenue, Rothwell on Sunday afternoon.
