The future of former Leeds United academy graduate Kalvin Phillips remains up on the air following his club boss' latest comments
The subject of where former Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips' future may lie is set to continue to be a topic for debate following Pep Guardiola's latest comments on the England midfielder. Phillips joined the Premier League champions from his hometown club in a £45million move in the summer of 2022, but has struggled to establish himself in the starting XI.
"Kalvin , exceptional in many things," Guardiola said, as per Fabrizio Romano. "Why he doesn't play? Rodri, key for us...". "I know that I need to be playing games and competing every weekend. I'm going to have to make a decision on over the next months," Phillips told reporters following the game which saw him win a 30th Three Lions cap.
"It's something I am going to have to think about. Hopefully my chance does come but if it doesn't then I will have to make other decisions as well."
