Family members have left loving messages this week to relatives who have passed away
Every week the Accrington Observer carries tributes and funeral notices for those who have lost a loved one recently.
Irene enjoyed knitting, gardening, playing cards and dominos. She also enjoyed baking, socialising, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. Born on May 9 1935 to Susie and Ernie Wood. Edwin was the much loved and supportive elder brother of Ernest and Enid. He completed his apprenticeship at the age of 21, was always keen to learn and produced workmanship of the highest standard whatever the job.
Family flowers only but donations in memory of Edwin are being gratefully received for North West Air Ambulance Charity.Peter Joseph Woods Peter Joseph Woods of St Huberts Street, Great Harwood passed away on February 24, aged 82 years.He was also a keen salmon and trout fisherman, and loved spending time on the riverbanks.Husband to Maureen, father to Michael and Stuart, granddad to Ethan, Brodie and Devon.Pete was also a much loved brother in law, uncle and great uncle and friend to many.
Doreen was a regular face in the Pioneer WMC and the Thorn Inn, where she loved to meet up with her friends and enjoy a few ‘little’ halves of lager.
