The college — right in the middle of Mid-Penn country — announced Tuesday that it is adding field hockey to its linuep of sports. In a release, PSU Harrisburg said that the addition of field hockey slated to being Division III play next year — now gives it 17 sports. PSU Harrisburg’s field hockey team will play in the conference formed when the United East and Colonial State Athletic Conferences combine.
PSU Harrisburg said its team will practice and play its home games at the school’s multipurpose turf field, and that plans are underway to added bleachers, public restrooms, a press box, team storage and a concession stand there.
