A man died after he was hit by a vehicle in East San Jose early Tuesday morning, police said.
SAN JOSE — A pedestrian died early Tuesday morning after he was struck by a vehicle in East San Jose, according to authorities.
Police said officers were alerted to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian around 3:23 a.m. Tuesday on the 40 block of South Jackson Avenue in East San Jose, about one block south of Alum Rock Avenue. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
