The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was using a crosswalk in the 3800 block of E. Illinois Avenue around 9 p.m. when a gray 2011 GMC Terrain SUV hit him. The crossing light was on “no crossing” when the SUV hit the man in the middle of the three-lane roadway, police said. The driver “immediately stopped” and remained at the scene.It does not appear that any charges have been filed.. Lana Ferguson is a breaking news reporter at The Dallas Morning News.
