The borrowed Benfica playmaker is looking to follow in the footsteps of his former team mate and win permanent Parkhead move.
Paulo Bernardo reckons he doesn’t just have big boots to fill at Celtic when it comes to his old Benfica buddy Jota.
“I know he was a really good player here and I want to show that I can be I am too. I know he had a famous celebration that ended up being printed on t-shirts. I don’t have a certain celebration yet – but maybe I will!” Bernardo wouldn’t be drawn on recent talk of a sensational Jota return to Celtic and he insisted his old mate’s Saudi story is for the man himself to tell. The playmaker is more interesting is his own tale at Parkhead as he looked to make more of an impression.
“I’ve had to be patient. All players want to play. But I have to work hard to get this chance. And I have to work even harder to keep going and show the coach that I can play a lot more. I have to continue with this work.
