Paul Scholes was left unimpressed with Manchester United's ability to retain possession during Saturday's 2-0 win over Everton at Old Trafford.
But despite Fernandes and Rashford easing the pressure on Ten Hag, whose future at United beyond the end of the season is uncertain, Scholes was left unimpressed with the fundamentals of the Reds' play.READ MORE: Rooney compares Mainoo to former United midfielder Assessing United's performance post-match, Ten Hag said: "In the build-up, I think we can be more calm and composed. Everton were good on their high press but that leaves a lot of space in behind which we used well with the runs in behind and that’s how we created a lot of our chances."
"It’s very important to always get three points in the league, we’ve come off of two defeats in our last two games but we want to be in the Champions League next season so we’re very happy," said the United forward. "Now every game is a final, that’s what the manager has said. We’re Manchester United, we must win every game. The job is done."
