The disruption has taken place ahead of what is set to be a busy Bank Holiday weekend for travel
A passenger at Heathrow has complained of “epic chaos” at the airport as they landed to collect their luggage on Friday afternoon., travellers can be seen standing in crowded queues which appear to have little organisation alongside rows of suitcases seemingly waiting to be claimed.
Anna, 34, who only wanted to give her first name, described the situation after she landed around 2.30pm on Friday as “epic chaos'”.: “There were mounds and mounds of bags stacked all over each other, rows of suitcases dumped and a pile of prams and items labelled fragile stacked together with little care for items.Anna added that she had “never seen anything like it” in the UK and noted that as an avid traveller she had only ever seen equivalent scenes at regional Jordanian airports.

They tweeted: “What is happening T5? They can’t book the luggage and people waiting with their luggage for about an hour now.Heathrow recommended the passenger contact their airline as they organise baggage reclaim.Earlier this summer Heathrow Airport introduced a 100,000 cap on daily departing passenger until 11 September as part of efforts to help reduce the number of passengers to an amount airport staff could manage.
