NEW DETAILS: A 25-year-old faces first-degree murder charges in the death of a 26-year-old man killed in an apartment building.
PARMA, Ohio - A man died Friday night after getting shot in the chest in Parma.
Parma Police Lt. Daniel Ciryak said the shooting happened at approximately 6:11 p.m. at the State Hill Manor Apartments, located at 6581 State Rd. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office said the man, identified as Julius Sanders, born in Westland, Michigan but lives in Toledo, died after being taken to UH.
Ciryak said the accused shooter, identified as Twinsburg 25-year-old David Grant, identified himself as the shooter and dropped the gun he held before officers arrested him.Police confirmed they charged Grant with one count of first-degree murder.Ciryak confirmed Grant is out on bond, and the case will be presented to a Cuyahoga County grand jury.This is a developing story.
