The school's head teacher said 'providing a calm, safe and supportive environment' was their top priority
A pair of Nottinghamshire parents say their concerns are being "swept under the carpet" after their daughter was bitten in the face twice at nursery. Andrew Davidson and Lorna Butler, from Strelley, said their three-year-old Poppy has been left "traumatised" by the two incidents at Djanogly Strelley Academy.
"The school said there were measures in place to make sure it didn't happen again," said the 44-year-old. However, on Monday, March 11, he said his daughter was bitten on the face again by the same child."I got a call saying your child has been bitten, can you come and pick her up?" he recalled. "They were significant bites, not what you'd expect of a kid."
"People need to be aware of what's going on. My child is not in a safe environment, she's got a big mark on the front of her face." "She's very clingy and upset at home as well, she's been crying a hell of a lot since. I think she doesn't feel very safe.
