Cafe Su closed suddenly in February after operating for over 30 years in the Paisley Centre leaving six 'loyal' staff members out of a job. They have now been awarded over £40,000 at a tribunal.
Six Paisley cafe employees with nearly 100 years of service between them were left jobless and without an income after the sudden closure of a popular family business.
Patricia Goodfellow had worked at the cafe for 30 years when she was let go, along with Fiona Shields who had worked there for 21 years, Elizabeth Arthur who had worked there for 17 years, Lisa Marie Harkins who had worked there for 14 years, Lindsey Shereee Hayes who had worked at the cafe for seven years and Joanne Wallace who had been there for three.
He described the women as being "faithful, diligent employees who had given their full commitment to the respondent for a considerable time".
