Two 18-year-olds have been officially charged with the drive-by shooting that left four people injured at Lincoln Park. According to a probable cause affidavit, a suspect and one victim had ongoing conflict stemming from a relationship with a female.
COLUMBUS, Ind — Two 18-year-old have been formally charged in relation to the shooting that left four people shot at Lincoln Park on May 23.
According to court documents, the victims were identified as Gavin hardin, 18, Tyler Hamm, 23, and two others that were not named due to being minors.Alex Parker was identified as the driver of the vehicle and the shooter was identified as Edmarius Oats. During a conversation between the two over an Instagram call, Oats learned that Hardin was at the park. Words were exchanged and Oats relayed the message that he was going to come and"shoot him in his shit."Police also found evidence of photos of Oats holding firearms and cash on his Instagram account. After a search warrant, police found a .22 round, an empty box of Federal 9mm Luger ammunition, a black Crossfire holster and a plastic box for a Taurus 15-round 9mm magazine.
Alex Parker, the driver, has been charged with four counts of Aggravated Battery Use when the assault poses a substantial rick of death and one count of assisting a criminal.
