'Jack was our glue, our light, our future'
Two men who killed trainee barrister Jack Jermy-Doyle in a one-punch killing in Preston have been jailed for a total of 14 years and four months between them.
The following day, after seeing an appeal from Lancashire Police, Fairclough handed himself in, and admitted he was the one who had punched Jack to the ground. Parkinson told family and friends he wanted to lie low and spoke of going to Blackpool and shaving his head to avoid detection. He was arrested over the weekend.
"Jack was our glue, our light, and our future. Jack had immense potential that I will never be able to see. He was my saviour and he made me proud, every single day. The court heard he trains as a boxer and had grazes to his knuckles when he presented at Preston Police Station following the attack.
