A paedophile teacher who 'ruined the life' of a woman after preying on her at 14 years old has been brought to justice more than two decades later.
Lancashire Constabulary confirmed that Dale was convicted of three counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 16 years and two counts of inciting a girl under 16 years to commit an act of gross indecency. As well as her seven-year jail sentence, Dale was placed on the sex offenders' register for life.The victim, whose identity is protected under the Sexual Offences Act, told the ECHO how Dale "ruined her life".
"She didn't know who she was anymore. She lost a lot of friends and family because of it. Kerry preyed on her at 14 years old." "Still to this day she suffers to live with this. Her family, friends and children have suffered. It's had a really bad impact on her life and she needed the justice."
