Not since inaugural season at Petco Park has team surpassed 3 million fans
The Padres have set a record for season ticket sales, and it seems a franchise record for attendance will be in reach in 2022.
“To navigate a pandemic, where we had no fans in 2020, had limited attendance for the first half of the season in 2021, to come out of that now on the other end setting records on the ticket sales side, chasing records on the attendance side is very satisfying,” Padres CEO Erik Greupner said. “I think it shows that we’ve done a good job connecting with the fan base. It’s their support that is making this possible. So we’re very grateful and proud.
