Jake Cronenworth made three stops on hard ground balls in Wednesday’s Cactus League game against the Reds that took away hits. The first saved a run, the second started an inning-ending double play. The most spectacular was the final one, a diving play near the foul line on the grass in which he had to run a ways before laying out to spear the ball. With no one on and a right-handed batter up, he had been shaded toward second.
