Paddington 3, also known as Paddington in Peru, reportedly recasts Rachel Zegler's role due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
Given that the film largely stars European actors who aren’t a part of SAG-AFTRA, the movie began filming in the United Kingdom on July 24 without Zegler, according to. It was initially believed Zegler would join the production once the SAG-AFTRA strike ended; however, while SAG-AFTRA is now set to resume negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers on October 2, it appears the movie is moving forward without her.
Paddington in Peru will see the titular bear return home to South America.
