The convention, in its sixth year and first in the state Capitol, is expected to draw more than 1,000 people to downtown Harrisburg, according to organizers.
The Pennsylvania Latino Convention is expected to bring more than 1,000 people to Harrisburg later this month when the state capital hosts the event for the first time, leaders said Wednesday.
The convention serves as a gathering point for Latino advocates – on issues such as healthcare, education, and more – as well as businesses that have an interest in working with the burgeoning Latino population. “For Latino leaders, we have a social responsibility to ensure that, if we are looking more and more like the future of this nation, today we are building that future together,” Colon said.
