Pa animal support group rescues 61 cats from home
, Animal Friends in Pittsburgh was called to action on Tuesday night and rescued 61 cats from a home in Carnegie, Allegheny County., the shelter’s mass rescue team transported the cats to Animal Friends after their Humane Investigations Department was notified of the large number of felines living in a single Carnegie home.
“Since the cats arrived, our team has jumped into action to ensure that each of them receives lots of love and has a warm bed, food and the medical care that many of them so desperately need,” Animal Friends wrote in a social media post.
